How to make a wish list from different websites

Most wish lists only work with one shop. Here’s how to put things from any website on one list, so the family have a single link instead of five, and can see what’s already being bought.

Step by step

  1. 1

    Start one list

Pick a web address for it, like alfieslist.wishorium.com, and say who it’s for and when. That address is the only link the family need.

  2. 2

Paste a link from any shop

Open the thing on any shop’s website, copy the address from the address bar and paste it into your list’s Add tab. We fill in the name, picture and price, and you can change any of them before you add it.

  3. 3

Or press the bookmark button on the shop’s page

The Add tab gives you an “Add to Wishorium” button for your browser’s bookmarks bar. Press it on any product page and the wish opens ready to add. It reads the page in your own browser, so it works even on shops that turn our server away.

  4. 4

Bring an Amazon wish list across

Already have an Amazon wish list or baby wishlist? Share it as Public on Amazon, paste its link, and pick what to bring over in one go.

  5. 5

Add anything without a link by hand

Swimming lessons, a day out, a bike from a cousin: type a name, add a photo if you like, and it sits in the catalogue with everything else.

  6. 6

    Share the one link

The family flick through every wish together, whichever shop it’s from, and circle what they’re getting so nobody else buys it too.

When a shop won’t let us read its page

Some shops turn away anything that isn’t a person in a browser. When we can’t read a page, we name the wish from its link and ask you for the price, so you can still add it in a few seconds. The bookmark button gets round it completely, because it runs in your own browser.

Why one list beats a list per shop

When wishes are spread over several shops’ lists, nobody can see everything at once, and nobody knows what someone else has already bought from a different shop. One list with every shop on it fixes both.

  • One link for the family group chat
  • Every shop’s wishes in one catalogue
  • Circles show what’s taken, wherever it’s from

Every wish keeps its shop

Each wish keeps a link to the shop it came from, so whoever buys it can go straight there, or pick it up somewhere else if they prefer. You can hide prices from the family if you’d rather.

Questions from grown-ups

Does it work with any website?

Any shop’s product page can be added by pasting its link. If we can’t read the page we still add it, named from the link, and ask you for the price. Things with no link at all can be added by hand.

Do I need an account with each shop?

No. You only need a Wishorium account to make the list. The family don’t need one at all unless you ask them to sign in.

Can I add things from my phone?

Yes. Copy the link from the shop’s app or your phone’s browser (usually Share, then Copy link) and paste it into the Add tab.

Is it free?

Yes. Some shop links are affiliate links, which pay us a small commission at no cost to you.

Ready when you are ✨

Free, five minutes to set up, and the family don’t need an app.
